Steve Hoyl grew up in Canyon, Texas, and graduated from Texas Tech University in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He married his wife Susan 19 years ago in Amarillo. Steve and Susan are the proud parents of 15-year-old twins Hillary and Hayden and are both twins themselves. Susan is Director of Community Relations for Amarillo Independent School District, where she has worked for 19 years.
Steve and Susan enjoy traveling, entertaining, and remodeling. Steve is a very involved “dad” and enjoys spending time with his teen-age twins. He is a Master Gardener and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Amarillo chapter, and as a member of the Finance Committee at First Presbyterian Church. He has also been a deacon and a Sunday School teacher at First Presbyterian, he has served on the Board of Directors of Girl Scouts, and he has been a United Way volunteer.
Steve has been in the financial planning business in Amarillo since 1989 and he specializes in helping pre-retirees and those in retirement. A special affinity for older people, as well as experience in helping care for several elderly relatives make Steve uniquely qualified to help seniors plan for a financially secure future.
